Have you ever attempted to bake something that came out looking like something else? Like me, did you think- “What now?” How will you decorate it and present it to your loved ones? The secret of amazing baking is to call it what it becomes, instead of what you thought it would be! Cookies illustrate this point well:
•Too thin? Call them crisps.
•Too hard? Break them up and call it a crumble for another dessert, ice cream, or yogurt.
•Too soft? Press into a container, fill with ice cream or pudding, and call it a cookie bowl. Or, make cookie butter! Usually, soft cookies simply need more time in the oven.
•Just plain nasty? Call it a test batch.
